Compliance and Audit Preparation Through Real World Recall and Regulatory Scenarios
Presented by The Cannabis Conservancy and Allay Consulting

Staying in compliance with local and state regulations is a must for every cannabis business, yet few operators understand the regulatory audit process. This session is designed to teach new and old businesses how to best prepare for an inspection through real-world examples and hands-on exercises, such as mock recall and role-playing. Taking examples from more established markets, this workshop will be geared toward operating in newly established markets. Attendees will learn about the specific areas of concern for each type of business (cultivation and manufacturing) from an operator's and regulator's perspective and then learn appropriate documentation and record keeping techniques so they are prepared for annual inspections and random audits. This session will draw upon the presenters' expertise in agricultural auditing and contamination mitigation as well as FDA and OSHA compliance and cover the entire cannabis supply chain from seed to sale, including cultivating, harvesting, processing, and lab testing.
