Leah joined 4Front in late 2017 as Chief Compliance Officer after a legal career in regulatory compliance that included serving as an Enforcement Attorney for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard. In her CCO role for 4Front, she is responsible for ensuring the company remains in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. She also serves as Chief Experience Officer (CXO) for Mission, 4Front's network of branded medical cannabis dispensaries. In that role, she is responsible for ensuring all patients have consistent, positive experiences when they visit Mission dispensaries and interact with its employees, products and services. When she assumed the title in 2017, she was the industry’s first known professional with the CXO title. Leah has been involved in the cannabis industry since 2014, when her home state of Maryland passed comprehensive legislation that legalized the cultivation, processing, and dispensing of medical cannabis. At that time, she began utilizing her legal expertise to counsel individuals and companies joining the cannabis industry on business operations, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance. In mid 2015, she assembled a management team and formed Chesapeake Integrated Health Institute LLC to pursue a dispensary license in Maryland, which the company successfully received at the end of 2016. She is also former CEO of Women Grow, the largest professional networking group in the cannabis industry.
